In Frillesås, on the west coast of Sweden, the ice is just between iceskate- and paddle  able.


The right hand side of the bay looked good, but the ice was thicker than it appeared. How ever a lovely, sunny day with blue skies.

Continue reading »]]> - Black Light gets support from the Swedish Small Business Development Agency!

We are pleased and excited to announce that ALMI – the Swedish Small Business Support Agency – has agreed to support Black Light Paddles!  This means that we will be able continue to grow the business, developing the paddles and expanding the range.   We will work on further refining the Black Light Sharp One and then produce the Black Light Too – an unshouldered version of the tried, tested and proven Sharp One.   Thereafter we´ll develop other kayak and outdoor related products.

Trys Burke is infecting us, in a good way, with her enthusiasm in Coastal Navigation and Tidal Planning – preparing for 4* training and assessment according to the Brittish system BCU. We have a dedicated, mixed group of Swedes and Danes and it will be a good weekend for sure!
